News Item Assignment, done it for my writing task

Students of English Education Department 2016 of Islamic University of Alauddin Makassar showed their creativity and capability by performing some awesome performances on their Inauguration event. Located in the ballroom of Swiss Bellin Hotel Makassar, they successed to entertain the audience.

Since 2012 English Education Department also had done a big event as Inauguration for every generation. Inauguration was known as annual event which was presented  by the first student of college to twine the brotherhood among their generation. Seemed like their senior, Students of English Education Department branch of 2016 also made another history for their generation.

May 19^th, 2017 at 7 p.m was the time when they began to declarate their history. According to the committee, the event spent around 25 billions rupiah. They collected money by doing bazaar, selling some food, and sending proposal to some companies to get sponsors.

With the theme Lights Gather Us they illustrated their unity as a family. The chief of the English Education branch of 2016, Kasyib Githa said " Lights gather Us inspired from our English Camp, it means every student in this batch were gathered by lights".

Another voice occured from The chief of committee, Rahmat. He explained that the inauguration would not success without the people who supported them. " I thank to our seniors with their support and help, we can perform our best" said the chief of committee, he told that it needed 3 months for preparing their event and it could work well only because the seniors support especially Student Association of English Education Department " they always give us intensive training, some advice, motivation" he added. he also thanked to his related friends who work and struggle together till the end also the sponsors which in; Washila media partner, Trenum Clothing, Naj Make up, GEEartwear etc., department staffs and lecturers for helping and supporting them since the very beginning of their preparation. Even it just emotional support, they really appreciated it.

The event divided into two main agendas. The first was formal agenda which was guaided by Dian Sulastri and Fahmi Satri as the master of ceremony. Angaru and Padduppa dance welcoming the audience. Then continued by some formal agendas such as choir, speeches by Dr. Muhammad Amri, Lc., M.Ag as the dean of Tarbiyah and Teaching faculty then opening the event by the head of English Education Department, Dr. Kamsinah S.pdi., M.A.

The next section was sharing section which was delivered by Muhammad Syarif Hidayatullah, one of inspiring person, the alumnus of English Education department. In this section. The speaker informed the audiences about anything related to schoolarship such as how to prepare and get it. He also gave motivation and some advice to be a success student in overseas.

Another dance also performed, known as four ethnics dance, this dance was very famous with its attractive movements involving different type of dances in different tribes in South Sulawesi.

Finally, it continued with the essence of the inauguration event. It was the inauguration itself. English Education Department branch of 2016 confirmed the name of their batch "Flash16ht". The name was a hope to shine as bright as light. The interesting thing from the section that the name of their batch was shown by handmime performance. Handmime was a special performance about constructing some words with the movement of many hands in the middle of dark, wearing the bright gloves made the words look so beautiful and clearly to read. It was become the most favorite performance in that night. The agenda was closed by praying.

The second agenda was informal program which involved entertaining performances that amazed the audience. It was began with opening by the master of ceremony, Arizandi Abuhasyim and Murni Ayu Sri Ningsi.They welcomed the first performance, the vocal group and Toraja dance. People also entertained by theater and percussion performance. The last performance was Contemporary dance, the dance was kind of creative dance which combined with arabic ethnic. The dancer made the audience following the music and joining the dance, they were  hipnotyzed by the last performance. Inauguration was ended by audience big applause.

The Inauguration of English Education Department branch of 2016 effected different impression, "This is the first time that PBI's Inauguration was held in the hotel, it looked luxurious, the performances were awesome, proud of them. Next time, they may prepare snack for us" said Ikhsan Rafswanjani Fisabilillah with his smiling face, the alumna of English Education Department 2011.

The guests were not only the student from English Education itself but there were also another students from different majors, university or another profession. one of them was Ali Sadar, the student from English Literature department. he commented that he really enjoyed the contemporary dance "This is the first time I saw an arabian ethnic make a good harmony with our local dance, they were creative" beside, he also said that there were some mistaken such as the theater performance " the actors were blocking, I could not hear the voice even enjoyed the plot, seemed like they have their own world on the stage it's lacking" he continued by saying another performances were good enough. 

Another suggestion came from Sir Dahniar, one of English lecturer who watched the event " The inaugurations several years ago held just in the center of Library and now they make a new record by performing in the hotel but the awesome one was they could perform as good as professional artist. The dance, percussion and others performance proof that even they are students from educational department they also have another special talent and I proud of them. Though they may do some mistakes but overall was superb. I hope another event they can get more audience" he said.

Miftahul Khair, one of the sponsors, the owner of GEEartwear, student of English Education Department branch of 2010 who succesed as enterpreneurship also gave his opinion about the Inauguration “ So far so good, but they need to give more attention to the thechnical management such as microphone, stage decoration. The preparation of every performance need steadier also” as a senior he also added that all of the students in English Education Department had to keep the essence of inauguration as a media to tight the familiarity and brotherhood in every generations “ Don’t make the inauguration as a competition of being the best generation. No matter where the place or how much the badget but the brotherhood is more important”. He conclude with some wisewords.
